I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Well we have had a slow start to the year this year.  Finally got out this weekend and took my 13 year nephew with us,  he put the first smallie in the boat not 10 minutes after we launched,  it was his first smallie ever,  he was pretty excited.  As was I,  we had a great day and he was kicking Uncle Terry's butt for most of the day, it was fun listening to those two go back and forth.  Then he caught a nice walleye and the bantering got even better,  of course Terry was just as excited about him catching fish as he was,  but he was dishing it out to him just like Jarrett was dishing it out to him.
I finally caught my first one of the year, on a new bait that a great friend gave me to try,  he thought I might just like this seeing as I love throwing spinninbugs!  So yep I got it on a vibra spin.
It was a great day on the water,  taking a young person and teaching him all about our sport,  (which he is now wanting to fish a tourney with Uncle Terry in)  I think we hooked him!

I wondered if you'd make me regret not going with you.  How big were those smallies, and how many did you get?  It ended up being a great day.  Glad you all had a good time.  Besides I would have hated catching all of the fish  !!!!  lolololol  jk jk jk  :)

Did you see my email about my trailer tire??

Congratulations Wendy!! Those are the kinds of days we all need (especially you :) )

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Thanks Dan,  it was great medicine!  It did us all good.

Jeff you missed a good day!  Jarrett almost out fished Terry from the back of the boat,  I don't know for sure how many we ended up with,  I know both Terry and I  both caught a 19 incher,  Jarrett had an 18 we didn't measure all of them.  I think we ended up having somewhere around 15 smallies,  one pike,  Terry lost a pike and his rattletrap right at the boat and the walleye Jarrett caught.  We were out there about 3 hours or so.  Of course there were the ones that got away too.  So maybe you should stop here this weekend,  we don't work Saturday!  Oh and we did get up the river with our boat,  didn't even have to get out and push this year!  Thank goodness,  it was really cold last year!
I did see your pics,  you were lucky it didn't blow completely that would have been ugly!

Ummmmmm Wendy, where did you fish???  Manistee or the other???  Thoought you were fishing Manistee if the wind was down???

Saturday (Yesterday) was bad weather-wise huh???  My Brother was in Ludington Thur, Fri nad Sat.  His buddy wasn't feeling well and the weather was bad so he didn't even fish Sat.  Guess they got a ton of fish.

I was thinking of heading to Ludington From St. Clair, at the end of the week.  But the weather stayed good and I was catching a bunch of smallies.  I'll report soon when I get the pics on the puter.

spinninbug

We fished PM.  I'm not a fan of Manistee even though Terry loves it.

The weather this weekend wasn't the greatest for fishing.

Looking forward to pics.

Talk to you soon,

Wendy
