I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

I say we start some youtube video posting on here, links to your videos. I am so bored I have started a small tips video series. I am going to post a new video every Monday night of durations hopefully less than 5 minutes. My first run was good on my computer but on youtube my mouth and words do not match up, boy do I hate that. Once catch and release season starts I am going to post an actual fishing episode using the lures and practicing what I talk about in my Gip's Tips section every Monday of 10-20 minutes. I think it would be really cool if others would do the same, I would enjoy to watch. Below is the link to my first video, you might need to turn the volume up on your computer as well.

cool video.  I need to check out some of those muscle deep cranks.  I like the idea of member videos.  Chris and I have been planning on doing some videos on our website so we should be able to contribute.  Hope this catches on.  Great idea!

Of course, it would be nice if people would upload them to the GreatLakesBass.com video service also...?? I don't have a youtube-level service yet, but it is not out of the realm of possibilities. All it takes is money and time, both of which I've already put a fair amount of into what is set up so far. You might be amazed how much it costs to run a service like that, but I like the idea of not having fishing videos mixed in with the unknown and possibly icky masses of any kind of video you can imagine (and some you can't).

Though I don't have the programming yet to tie users to uploaded videos, if someone uploads a good video and lets me know about it, I can put it up as a feature for a while. Just tell me the name of the video. It helps too if you put your username in the summary description of the video. That way, members don't have to send someone somewhere else to watch a video.

The more people use the service, the more resources I will commit to it also.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
