I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Wanted: Name for our tournament

I am the tournament director for Team Bass and for the last couple years we have named each tournament.  The name goes on the trophy and we always try to get some good ones.  Most of the guys don't know the name until we hit the ramp, so it's a bit of fun in the morning.  For example, we've had the "Mullet Lake Big Bass Beatdown" and the "Martiny Lake Romp in the Swamp".

This year we have a couple days on St. Clair on the schedule, and I'd like some input on what to name them.  If I get enough good ideas, I'll put several of them up in a poll here on the forum and let the members cast their votes.  Most popular name will be on our trophy for the St. Clair tournament.

Some ideas to get you started:

"Mile Road Mayhem"

"Motown Showdown"

"SmalliePalooza"

Please be creative and submit lots of ideas if you have some.  Like I said, if I get enough response I'll put it to a vote and we'll use the name the members pick.  Last year we had the "Bay of Pigs" out on Grand Traverse Bay, so use your imagination! ;D

MadWags

Original song and lyrics by "MadWags"

What's with the news these days on the TV and the radio. Can't find the truth amongst the lies. Some talking head that claims to live their life in a better way, says I have to compromise. But now there's something on the rise. Truth has opened up my eyes. There's no running from your dirty lies. You can't avoid the truth. I'll no longer close my eyes.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Wow, there are some pretty good names already.  I was laughing pretty hard as I read them out loud to my wife.  We have two days out there on St. Clair this year, so I might have to use names you guys are submitting for both of them.  Lots of creativity so far, so keep the names coming guys!

Some of the things I think of when I think about St Clair, just idea starters:

Tuna Boats (so true Joshimoto)
Dragging tubes
Mile Roads
Big Waves
The Stakes
The Firecracker
The border

One more idea I was kicking around:

You know how at Pistons games when we get the ball on a turnover and the anouncers says:

"Dee-troit basket-ball!"

Well How about these:

"Dee-troit Bassin'-brawl"  or  "Dee-troit Bass-for-all"

I know I'm corny but I just don't care man........ ;D
