I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Our Bass Club is a year old now and we are in need of boaters. We have a waiting list of non-boaters wanting to join and youth members wanting to join our Jr. Club. We cannot accommodate anyone until we get more boaters.

Anyone interested in joining a bass club please look at our website and come to a meeting to see if you think you might fit in. We range in skill level from anglers with sponsors to guys learning the in's and out's of bass fishing. We like to have a good time, make sure everyone is on fish, and compete to win. Please take a look...

Thanks!

P.S. we have members from Brighton to Commerce to Canton and all over...Our meetings change location every month to accommodate everyone.

Didn't the Federation Nation change some rules about being the member of two clubs????  I think it goes something like this and correct me if I am wrong.  If you are a member of two clubs you have to pay Federation Nation dues twice.  Something about double dipping into the state fish-off or something.  I got this info at my last bass club meeting in December.  I will try to get some clarity on this at my next meeting which is the second Tuesday of each month at Hope's Fish and Chips located on Joy Road in Livonia.  I am a member of Backlashers which is a Livonia based club but we draw members from all over the metropolitan area.

If I can be a member without paying twice for the Federation Nation then I will consider.  I will also consider if you are a TBF Club.

I do believe you have to pay twice now.  Don't know if I really like that rule...

Nice set up you guys have.  Meeting at Hope's then pop next door to Paris for some dessert!

I can't remember the exact reason for having to pay twice but I think it has to do with qualifying for the state fish-off.  Hope's is owned by one of the members and we have been meeting there for years.  It seems to be centrally located for all the members.  We got members from Dearborn, Livonia, Canton, Brighton, St. Clair Shores, etc..........and the food is good.
