This is a tale of two lakes. Intertwined lakes, in Barry County, Michigan. Where somehow the water has gone away. Upper and Lower Crooked Lakes, both near and dear to me, are suffering from the lowest water levels I've seen in the 35+ years I've been fishing them.

Well with fishing all but over. Who is your favorite for the classic ? You never know maybe we can shame Dan into a prize for the winner...  ;D

I think whoever wins the classic doesn't need a t-shirt or pack of lures from me!?! ;D

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Dan. Dan. Dan. I was thinking of a prize for the person whom picks the winner.  ;D

As a tie breaker we could guess who is going to get shot at by some crazy Cajun this year...
It is on the Red River in Louisiana..

djkimmel

Okay. Remind me when the Classic is? Yeah, I know. I'm out of the loop at the moment (on many things :D)

OK, I will go out on a limb and be the first to venture a guess:

KVD gets the nod from me.  I know it's an easy choice to make but that's who I'm going with.
Addicted to fishing.  All the time, any species, anywhere!!  Especially in West Michigan!!!

djkimmel

But when and where is it? I can look in the 'prize vault' and see what's in there... under the dust... way in the back... ;D

Feb.20-22, 2009 on the Red River in La. Maybe you can break out the K&M rigged Bass Stopper worms for this one. (The purple ones with the white dots). By the way, I heard they had to cancell the GAME Saturday, it seems Michigan doesn't know how to get past Toledo! LOL (Sorry, had to throw that in).

djkimmel

That was just plain mean... (I'm going to write it down and save it for later...)

Maybe, but it was funny. I had to endure the Cooper era so I can sympathize a little with you. (just a little)

djkimmel

I'm still writing it down...

I really liked that Cooper guy... ;D
