About the time of year I ask if there will be an outing this year.   Not to worry something will come up so I can't be there like every year.   But figured I would kick it off.

I WISH I could hope for an 'early' spring... but after the past few springs I don't like the odds. I've been looking at May 9th or May 16th. I told mikesmiph these are the dates I told people who asked at the Ultimate Fishing Show. I also have had some lobbying already for one date or the other. I have to get through Outdoorama TODAY! through Sunday before I'll probably be able to go through my various message options to refresh my memory on what/who that was.

I think 5/16 is the day I was telling people... though with my swiss cheese memory... I may have told some people 5/9 as well. With all the weirdness going on, and the past couple 'no-springs' we had the later Saturday of the 16th might have better odds of being 'spring-like.' We can hope anyways. (Of course, it depends on whether or not this really is the apocalypse we are having right now?!?)

Right now, we are in a holding pattern as we may not be able to have this event, and we may not know for sure until much closer to the event. I'll keep reading all the stuff trying to figure it out. I will say some in the DNR are doing a good job of keeping me informed though I don't always know what's going to happen any earlier than everyone else since things are changing very fast with little warning for everyone at times. Understandable in this unique, never-before situation.

Glad is wasn't the 9th!  It would have been cold and windy, Much like when Mojo and I ran to moot a fews years back and I had to lock tite my boat back together!
