Inland Waterway Bass Fishing Closure Defeated

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Mexico Bass Fishing - Lake El Salto!

NBAA is putting together a fantastic trip to famed Lake El Salto for some of the greatest bass fishing in the world. This trip will be hosted by Ron Speeds Adventures - known worldwide for their incredible fishing trips. This special trip will take place next February and spots are limited. What's with the news these days on the TV and the radio. Can't find the truth amongst the lies. Some talking head that claims to live their life in a better way, says I have to compromise. But now there's something on the rise. Truth has opened up my eyes. There's no running from your dirty lies. You can't avoid the truth. I'll no longer close my eyes.

Dates – Feb 9th – 14th or Feb 16th – 21th - 4 full days of fishing. I was thinking we were going to the latter dates, but I'd have to ask Jack to refresh my memory to say for sure. So we might cross boat lanes ;D

Well, the old unforseen circumstances has come along again. The good news is I'm still going, just now we are going with Randy VanDam and some of his group to Lake Comadero instead of El Salto. Bummer... about as many bass, but bigger ones there! Wait!?! That's not a problem, is it?!? ;D

We are going in January now (19th - 25th) instead of February... so I guess that is good news too?!? Since the trip if weeks closer. And I got my passport in 1 week - fast!

And the trip is about $100 cheaper... so that's good too... So I guess there is no bad news!!! ;D Anyone else want to go catch some giant bass in the dead of winter (here anyway)?

I guess the only bad news is that this shoots most of my 2009 fishing budget... but what the hey...? BIG bass in January? Oh yeah!

(now, I better get some of those honeydo things done soon...)

Yeah... different lake. Different time now... but who knows? I do have the plane ticket now so I guess the date won't change?

Now... I need to remember lots of batteries and memory cards for pictures and video of all the big bass I'm told we'll be catching!!!!
