The poorly written, damaging to Michigan Sport Fishing commercial fishing bills have been introduced again. State House Bills 5801 and 5802, introduced by Rep. Dave Prestin and Rep. Jason Morgan, have been assigned to the House Committee on Natural Resources and Tourism.

This is a tale of two lakes. Intertwined lakes, in Barry County, Michigan. Where somehow the water has gone away. Upper and Lower Crooked Lakes, both near and dear to me, are suffering from the lowest water levels I've seen in the 35+ years I've been fishing them.

The TD does not have a good reputation for a number of things. I'm not sure why I or most others fish his circuit. I'll give him credit for picking a good body of water this time.

Congratulations on the high finish!

OK. Chris was kind enough to send me a couple samble bags of various Nemesis baits about a month ago.  Here's my report thus far:

"Senko" baits seem to work about as well as any other stick bait out there... better than some for sure.  But I have not really given them a good workout yet as I have not really been throwing senkos much lately.

The goby baits are awsome!!!!!  I love these things and want more!!!  They work great as a drop shot bait, and even on a small jig head and bounced/dragged across the bottom.  As we all know gobies do not have a swim bladder so they spend most of their time on the bottom... thus the small jig head approach.

I think McCarter and Bender need to get some logo stickers made up so I can cover up some more of my boat advertising for them!!
Addicted to fishing.  All the time, any species, anywhere!!  Especially in West Michigan!!!

Whatever you do, definitely don't put them on a football shaky head and drag them through the rocks.  That doesn't work.

Na, that would never work.  I wouldn't even consider it as a possible method to catch bass... especially smallmouth.

I would much prefer Paw Paw to White lake. Just my 2 cents.
