Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

I'm going to be near Grand Rapids for a couple days staying at the Grand Rogue Campground.  It looks like the Grand River runs close by and they have a "small" lake listed as one of their attractions.  Is there anywhere else to fish within a reasonable distance?  Gracias amigos...

Define reasonable distance, and are you going to have a boat?

Darn - well I wont be of much help to you.  I've never shore fished out there.  When you going up there?  I'm only about an hour and a half away.  I can bring the boat up and take you out.

You are correct you are right near the Grand River and the Rouge River.  The only lake really close is Versluis Park.  http://www.plainfieldchartertwp.org/pctversluis.htm  Other wise I am sure you could find bank spot on either river but I can't say how good the fishing is.

I live on the south side of GR not very far the camp ground.  I would be happy to take you out while you are on this side of state.  When are you going to be here and where would like to fish?  If you don't know where I will pick something.

Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks fellas!  I will be up there the beginning of next week, and it looks like I can get away from the in-laws and family during the day on Monday (they are going to Lake Michigan to lay around and tan themselves...not my bag, unless I'm catching rays on a boat in the middle of the lake...lol).  I don't know if fishing during the day on a Monday is a deal breaker or not for either of you guys, but if either of you are available, let me know and we can work things out!  Thanks again for the offers fellas, that's what is great about this site...guys always looking to help out another junkie out  ;D

How in the world do you get from your yuppie little east side nieghborhood to that place?  Grand Island Golf Course is right next door.  The little lake in the campground is full of big carp from a past Grand River flood.  If those guys can't go, maybe I'll take some time off Monday and you can come to my neighborhood.  If you dare.  I have an extra banjo for you just in case.
