OptiMax ranks highest 2/16/2006
This morning at the Miami International Boat Show, J.D. Power and Associates presented Mercury Marine its Highest in Customer Satisfaction With Two-Stroke Outboard Engines award. Mercury also received the Highest in Customer Satisfaction With Sterndrive Engines award for its MerCruiser engines.

Mercury president Patrick Mackey accepted the award on behalf of Mercury. "I can't begin to tell you how important these are to Mercury Marine," he said. "It's great to be recognized in the industry for a job well done, but more importantly, these awards represent the voice of the consumer telling us we're building high-quality products and standing behind them the way a world-class organization should.

"Customer satisfaction is the reason behind everything we do, so this feedback is extremely pleasing," he added. "I assure you we take the rankings published by J.D. Power and Associates very seriously."

I've had 4 new Mercury engines since 1989 8hp,15hp,150hp and now running a 200hp Optimax. All have been great engines with no problems what so ever. My next new boat will have a 225XS or a 250XS.
