I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

I don't know if anyone knew that Berkley has a new swimbait out. It's the 5" Hollow Belly Powerbait swimbait just released this month. You can go to the Berkley website and they have a video of it. I'm sure it will be a big seller. Only problem with it right now is a lack of color choices.

speaking of swimbaits... can anyone recommend a good bluegill colored one?

Take a look at the Luck E Strike as an alternate to the tube-style swimbaits as well.

I'm confused ??? Someone discribe a swimbait for me. When they became the rage in California I saw mostly soft plastic fish imitators. Now I see jointed hard baits being called swimbaits. Kind of reminds me of fishing leadheaded jigs turning into shakey heads. ;D

thedude

yeah, just to clarify - i meant the soft-plastic ones  :)

Durand,

I guess a swim bait and crank are very similar, but I would say that a swim bait can be either hard plastic or soft plastic.  I think the difference between crank and swim is in the action.  Meaning cranks wiggle or wobble or something in between.

Swim baits have a swimming motion.  Normally the have an action very similar to a bait fish with a moving tail, a side to side action and some of them have segmented bodies for that extra movement.  Jump on link removed and click on swimbaits, you can see all the varieties.

Dude,

Check out the Storm Wildeye Sunfish or Matt Lures Blue Gills.  You can see the Strom in action on YouTube see the post by TCook in the General category.
