This is a Spybaiting video from DUO Realis and David Swendseid that goes into details on how-to spybait, rod, reels and lines to use, hot tips on how to rig up your equipment to get the most out of your spybaiting including a couple great ideas on how to fish it better like t-shotting (top-shotting variation)!

Spybaiting has a definite learning curve that I'm still working on but I have enjoyed using it so far as a new way to catch bass that are suspended or feeding heavily on minnows too!

Watch the video and then if you have any questions ask away. I'll answer what I can, and we can learn together how to catch more bass!

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

So who tried spybaiting already, and who plans on trying it next season? I'm still learning but I like what it does so far!

I've watched several videos regarding the technique and bought several a few years ago but haven't used it much over the last 2 seasons. I've probably thrown a spybait less than 30 minutes total over the last 2 years. I usually end up going back to the techniques I have confidence in. Same with the A-rig. I haven't thrown it as much as I should have but have no doubt both techniques will put fish in the boat. It's like any newer technique, I would be better off not having any other rods in the boat to force me to throw it all day in order to really learn all the nuances of the bait/set-up.

They have their place and you just need to learn where and when that is, though it's not like we don't have a few techniques we can use!
