Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

I have everything ready to go I just need some time off...and a couple more inches of ice,,,
..Hopefully between Christmas and New years.....

djkimmel

If it stays this cold we should have safe ice then for sure. I know anglers are chomping at the bit to get on the ice. One messaged me about Lake Lansing and I sure wouldn't be ready to go out there in the next few days no matter how bad I wanted out there! Wait for 4 inches or so minimum of new good ice just to be safe.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

We have about 4" in the Mitchell's Bay corner of LSC. Another couple cold nights and we should be out first of next week! :)

The wind died this morning and ice started forming on my lake.  Looks like winter is here

Had a little over 4 inches Saturday in west Michigan. Had to sift through the small ones a bit, but caught a quick 4 man limit. Bite was non stop!

djkimmel

I'll be the bite is good if you're on them!

With 2 tragic losses last week and what sounds like dozens of close calls be careful out there....With all this warm weather and wind I could see things turning bad in a hurry...

Wow that is awful. I'll never go ice fishing and risk my life.  Honestly sitting on a block of ice looking through a hole waiting for something to swim by and eat my bait. . . You can keep the ice fishing. I don't want anything to do with it. I'd rather wait till late March or early April to be on the Detroit River or St. Clair in my Skeeter FX20.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Ice fishing is all about the Snacks and Hot toddies...lol..I actually enjoy the getting back to basics and laid back atmosphere of ice fishing....It's kind of fun to chase around Panfish for a change....The action is actually pretty fast and furious at times..It isn't Smallies or Walleye fishing in the spring though that is for sure..
Merry Christmas..

djkimmel

I'm waiting a while yet for my ice fishing. It's better than not fishing!
