I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

How about this IDEA.......What if a Tournament director from MI new a Tournament director in ALABAMA or South Carolina, and could put together a little friendly tourney where a bunch of MI boys car-pooled down south to fish back seat w/ a bunch of good ol' boys?????

I could probably talk to one of the Fishers of Men Directors in Alabama or South Carolina or whatever, and set up something like that if we had enough guys interested!!!!  ???  ???

What do you guys think???

That sounds like it would be fun!  If we had enough people, that would definitely cut down on cost.  I would be in if I can figure out how to swing it financially.

Durand Dan

If your a member of American Bass Anglers you can jump on as a co-angler in any of the ABA tournaments. I see there are several in Alabama and georgia in January.

TCook

I would be willing to meet up for sure if it would happen to fall in the right time frame. It just happens that I will be in georgia and mississippi Feb 1st to the 9th. If by chance anything gets put together within those dates im in. sounds like a great idea to me.

FISH HARD!!!

You can fish from the back seat in any of the FLW series tourneys.
My dream trip in a couple of years is to go down to Amistad and fish from the back in either a stren or tour event..yeeehaaaa show me some 10lbers...
What would be cool is to have a North versus south showdown...We could go down there and fish a tourney on one of their lakes late in the winter and then they could come up here and fish LSC/lake erie in the Summer...cumalitive weight wins all..(kind of like the Bass Champs USA/Mexico shootout only with 2 events)

The problem with fishing back seat in a stren or flw or something of that nature is the fact that you are a considered a second class angler, you are lucky if you even get to fish any fishy water all day, depending on who you draw, and its not cheap.

I am talking about 20 guys car-pooling down south for a day of two of good fishing in a friendly club tourney-like environment, to fish with 20 guys from a southern FOM division, that would be a cheap weekend trip.  Something like drive down thrusday: fish friday and Saturday, drive home Sunday!!

Sounds like a good idea to me..I don't think you would have any problems filling the 20 seats...

I agree, I am going to contact a couple of the directors that I know down that way, and see what the likelihood would be on thier end.  I don't think that lack of participation would be an issue, and it cannot hurt to explore the possiblility.

Hmmm.... bass fishing in the winter... sounds good to me.  Only problem I might see is getting all of us down there with all the gear we NEED to bring... I don't travel light... sure... one pair of jeans, two t-shirts... toothbrush... plus 12 rods and 100 lbs of tackle!!!  LOL!!!

Keep working on this and give details when you can.
Addicted to fishing.  All the time, any species, anywhere!!  Especially in West Michigan!!!

bigjc

Yeah I had contemplated the problem with excessive gear.  I went on a fly in trip one time and they said we could only bring like 100 pounds of luggage per person, that was difficult.  Hmmm what to bring.....what to leave

Anyway, I am working on it
