This is a tale of two lakes. Intertwined lakes, in Barry County, Michigan. Where somehow the water has gone away. Upper and Lower Crooked Lakes, both near and dear to me, are suffering from the lowest water levels I've seen in the 35+ years I've been fishing them.

Made the 120 mile one way trip to Cabela's today to search out some deals on Ranger Boats. They didn't have a boat on the floor which even tempted me. Checked out the Bargain Cave which was a complete mess. I left without dropping a single dollar. I'm sure glad I live closer to Bass Pro!!

I went there Friday night and it was the least crowded I've ever seen it. I picked up a "real skin" Pointer and a few other things that didn't work this weekend.  :-[
I didn't see any Rangers there, only one Stratos multi-species.
Maybe check out Wonderland on the boat thing? They are closer to you and 2.5 miles from me.
