Which do most carry to meet the regs requirement?  If an anchor, what kind and how/ where do you store it to keep it from bouncing around and causing damage?

I use a collapsable paddle and an anchor.  The anchor is stored in one of the forward lockers.  It is a fluke type.  I have no problem with it bouncing around.
So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

A paddle and an anchor are common sense safety items to have in every boat, along with enough rope to hold in deeper water and big waves if necessary. I have my paddle in my front rod box and put a heavy anchor in some padding in a back storage box. I have stuff on top of it so it doesn't move much even in rough water.

Go beyond regulations requirements and make sure you have everything in your boat for emergencies of all kinds. A spare bilge pump with clips and a hose is another nice safety tool to have in the boat along with a hand pump and a manual baler of good volume. I've used them all at one time or another over the years on the big lakes.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
