Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Here are the results of the 2nd Annual St. Clair Open:

St Clair Super Bass Open!

Payout tops 10,000 for the second year in a row!
With 75 boats competing in the 2nd Annual Bass Pro Shops St Clair Open this would mean that the top team would walk away with $5000 for first place. St Clair again proved why its one of the top smallmouth fishing destinations in the world. With over 50 limits coming to the scales and several fish being weighed in over 3 and 4 pounds and even some over 5 this is truly one of the greatest bodies of water around.

First place went to the team of Dave Mercer and Simon Frost from Canada. This team brought in a huge limit of smallmouths topping the scales at over 20 pounds going 20.17 pounds. Their giant bag of smallmouths was worth a nice payday of $5000. The second place team of Brian Belevender and Steve Griffin also brought in a great bag of bronze backs that was just short of the 20 pound mark going 19.73 pounds. And rounding out the top three was the team of Ted Prisbe and Linda Bennett with another great bag of smallmouths that weighed in at 19.71 pounds. First place in the big bass category went to the team of Brian Clark and John Byholt with a huge St Clair smallmouth the topped the scales at 5.55 pounds and was worth a nice plaque and $750.

We would like to thank our sponsors for stepping up and providing prizes for our free raffle for the second year in a row. Prizes were sponsored by Bass Pro Shops, Skeeter, Yamaha, Auto Value, Combat Fishing, Eagle Claw, Gamma, Humminbird, Minn Kota, Mann's, Please Release Me, Wacky Tool, Scent-Lok, Solar Bat, Venom, and many more. Last but not least we would like to thank everyone who came out to participate in this annual event and for making it even bigger and better than last year. We're already starting to make plans for next year to make this event even better so keep checking the web and look for details in the next issue of the National Angler Magazine.
