UPDATE 7/06: I have resigned as the Michigan BASS federation nation conservation director (effective earlier this year) because ESPN/BASS will not allow me to represent their federation and the TBF federation, which I am now doing. Hopefully, the federation nation finds someone who continues the important work to be done.
Meanwhile, I am now the conservation director for The Bass Federation of Michigan, the new TBF affiliate federation here. I will continue to do what I have done, hopefully with excellent support from our partners at FLW Outdoors and BassFan.com along with all the interested sponsors. We are starting from the ground up and need all the help we can get. I will again ask TBF clubs to appoint a local conservation director as a contact person who can keep their club aprised of the many issues that affect us all.To all Federation clubs, I'm the Michigan BASS Chapter Federation state conservation director.
At the December president's meeting, I asked that all clubs create a local club conservation director so I have a contact and local representative to work with in case an issue arises. This person would also be someone I can send information to that I'd like the club to hear about, and report back on issues from the president's meeting when they can attend. I will ask when I need help and I will only expect as much help as you can give. Thanks.
Please consider creating a conservation director in your club and let me know who that person is -
