UPDATE 7/06: I have resigned as the Michigan BASS federation nation conservation director (effective earlier this year) because ESPN/BASS will not allow me to represent their federation and the TBF federation, which I am now doing. Hopefully, the federation nation finds someone who continues the important work to be done.

Meanwhile, I am now the conservation director for The Bass Federation of Michigan, the new TBF affiliate federation here. I will continue to do what I have done, hopefully with excellent support from our partners at FLW Outdoors and BassFan.com along with all the interested sponsors. We are starting from the ground up and need all the help we can get. I will again ask TBF clubs to appoint a local conservation director as a contact person who can keep their club aprised of the many issues that affect us all.

To all Federation clubs, I'm the Michigan BASS Chapter Federation state conservation director.

At the December president's meeting, I asked that all clubs create a local club conservation director so I have a contact and local representative to work with in case an issue arises. This person would also be someone I can send information to that I'd like the club to hear about, and report back on issues from the president's meeting when they can attend. I will ask when I need help and I will only expect as much help as you can give. Thanks.

Please consider creating a conservation director in your club and let me know who that person is -
club name
club conservation director name
address
phone number and times I can call
email address

Our own blakstr1 has volunteered to be the club CD for Team Bass. Thanks Blake!!!

Avid Bass Anglers of Michigan - Ralph Blasey is our Environment Director.  You should use him as your contact.  You can get his contact info from our Website:  http://www.geocities.com/avidbassanglersofmichigan/

Great! I think he may have told me that and my spongy short term memory filed it in the wrong place... I should have Ralph's number already, but for some reason I don't. I'll get it.

I let my club know and a Environment Director should be voted on soon.

I am a member of the Backlashers in Livonia and I don't know if we have a Conservation Director or not.  I will ask at our next meeting in February.  Maybe I will put my name in the hat.  Especially since I am a political kind of guy.  You don't get anything unless you step up to the plate and challenge our government on all issues.

I don't believe anyone from Backlashers has signed on yet. I'd be glad to have you onboard. I'll be talking about it more at the Feb 5 president's meeting.
