Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

What Lake are you fishing opening day?

As we draw even closer to the best day of the year, the opening of Michigan bass season, I was wondering what lake everyone plans on fishing.  Every year, I always take the Monday after opening weekend off work and fish Saturday, Sunday, Monday. Since I am growing very concerned that the ice will not be melted on Lake St. Clair, I told my wife, I am fishing that weekend no matter what.  My plan is to check conditions on Lake St. Clair about mid week, and if the ice is not gone, I am leaving after work on Friday and heading down 75 south until I find open water. ;D
I'm thinking I might end up at Rocky Fork Lake in southern Ohio, but I am open to suggestions anyone might have as to other options I might want to try.

i'm kind of skeptical at this point that we will have ice-off by then also. Might be fishing on the river in my tin boat or something. Will have to wait and see.

Openner catch and release I'll be in Kalkaska.Filling my spring turkey tag. Maybe  I will get a chance to wet a flyline. If the ice is off the lakes , when I get home. I plan on going to StClair

There's a post that a few GLB members will be on white lake
I'll be there

White Lake is opener of C&R. Which opener are you talking about. I'm getting a little worried we might have to dodge icebergs too.

Mike I've seen the video of the ice breaker that you own.
I have a tin boat so I'm all set

Icebergs would just be a great story.

Always look forward to Kent on the keep up opener weekend.    Maybe we could race across the lake at 10mph.

For C&R I will be on White Lake in Highland.  Then lunch at the White Lake Inn.
