The subject came up during UFS. We haven't done this in a couple years, and hopefully, this may be our last. April 26th, White Lake in Oakland County. Fish 8-12, lunch at White Lake Inn on the water, lie about what you've caught so far, fish some more. We have had a really good time doing this in the past. Fish are pretty cooperative too. Who's in? If we get enough, I'll have to let the restaurant know.

Sounds good to me.  Only 3.5 months away.   :-[ :-[

I'd be up for it as a boater. Give me something to look forward to. It can't come soon enough...

There are liars, please point them out. If it doesn't rain, I'm in.

Manxfishing

Huston,

It's a good lake in the spring,
It's not LSC so you'll need to work for the fish but you've never get blown off the lake
Plus the Inn is right on the water.

will you be teaming people up so there are two in a boat or just have at it, nothing I like better then opening a can of whup/butt on my good buddy TBone.

mikesmiph

Basically "have at it" I think. Whoever shows, fishes. I'm planning on bringing Veronica and I think a couple others might bring kids, but we'll make sure everyone fishes that wants to. It all about fun, and our first time legally out for bass. Like I said in the first post, according to a very important man on this site, (I won't mention Dan's name), this could possibly be our last ever opening day of C&R.

Manxfishing

Mike,

Let's not mention the C&R season to Dan
I have a very good source that say's it's never going away

mikesmiph

I'll just have to hope that my source is better than your source. But, seeing as Dan is the one working on this, I really don't think you're going to hide it from him.

There's always people who say stuff like that. Just like there are people who say they're going to win the next tournament (but never do). We got the 6 test lake season despite a lot of bumps along the way. The last time, we put out our own proposal that wasn't even an official proposal, and that's the proposal that ended up being adopted.

If I were you, I'd check with multiple sources. Using only one source can lead to all kinds of not fun things. I can suggest more sources you can check with.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I'm good either way
But, Best of luck to you.

Thanks for that. I like good luck.

Headed to vegas for a conference so I'm out - plus waiting for my new boat to arrive.
