Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

My father in law sent this to me.  Not sure what model it is or how old.  Any idea?

Got Fish??

looks like an old musky husky jerk

Hoekset

Didn't Rapala used to make saltwater plugs? Maybe they still do. Looks like that or musky jerk as was mentioned.

Not really sure, but my suggestion would be to take it, or at least a picture of it to the Fishing show this weekend in Novi.  I know that at Outdoorama, there is always a vintage lure collector with a display set up and if memory serves me correctly, he is at the UFS as well.  He would probably be the best bet to not only tell you if its a collectible, but what value it might have.

Cy

I don't think it is collectable.  It looks like a Magnum Countdown.  They still make them and it looks in too good of shape to be old.

You are right Frank.. all hard baits are collectable. Now if we could only transform soft plastics into gasoline, we could accumulate more.

I have a perch version of that lure that I swapped out lighter wire Mustad Triple Grip hooks on. I'd break it out back in my bass tournament days when I needed to cull up to a bigger smallmouth and they were feeding on or around perch. It attracted smallmouth bass and muskie on Lake St. Clair. Smallies on Saginaw Bay too.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Send me a message with your address, Dan, and I'll send some more your way. I've been painting lures every week since before the water froze up this year and I need additional "product testers" this spring, or the number of crankbaits in my boat is going to be out of control... :)
