Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Looking for a good wax, would prefer something that will last awhile. Does anyone have a seperate wax they use in the pad of their boat?

1javelin

While researching wax last year, I was emphatically told not to wax the pad as this can cause all kinds of steering issues, slip, etc...  I was also told to use 303? I believe, the aircraft wax.  It leaves your boat slick and even repels bugs from sticking to it driving down the road.  Look it up, it's expensive but if it's good enough for airplanes, I think it's good enough for boats. ;D

I agree - Bass Boat saver - it really is awesome stuff.  Just watch out if you put it on the top cap when stepping in and out, cause the stuff is slick!

Jack's right!  Don't put it any where you want to walk or sit, especially when it gets wet.  It's not like Armorall but I wouldn't recommend you putting a generous helping on your boats seats, you might have a hard time sitting still.  ;)

I've heard from many that you're asking for trouble if you wax the bottom of the boat.  It can cause you control issues.  As I understand it, some waxes can even cause excess drag and you don't want that.

I highly recommend 303.  You can use it on the hull and the leather seats.  It's awesome stuff.  Like with BBS, you need to watch how much you use where you step most often because it can be a little slick.  Not sure about BBS, but 303 also has spf which really helps protect your finish from bleaching out and keeps the leather from cracking.

Well, sounds like BBS, where can I get it ? Do I have to look ata a marine dealer or does Wally World have it?

Cy

You can get it online at www.bassboatsaver.com or you can check there dealer links in Michigan and get it from a dealer.  I don't think you will be disappointed.

About how long does that slick finish last?  Is it something that needs to be applied everytime you leave the water?  How about a high quality wax for once or twice a year additional protection, is it necessary?
