I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Are you kidding? No comparison here to make. Just my opinion.

Smallies for sure. The fight is much better, with their never give up attitude. See those fish go airborn is the best.

This close to LSC you're going to have a hard time convincing anyone that largemouth are more fun.  Should put up a poll though just for fun though.

Gotta go with smallmouth on this. With the bodies of water we have in and around our state it's hard not to love catching smallies. The opportunity to find huge schools with pig smalljaws is everywhere

I agree...... there's no comparison.  Fish St. Clair and hook a largemoth.  You can tell before you even see the fish what kind you have on by the fight.

My picture shows my personal best of 6.3 caught about 5 1/2 years ago out of East Grand Traverse Bay.  Have two other smaller 6's.

Greetings!  I am new to this forum and have been surfing around for a while and love what I am seeing!
I absolutely agree that it is more fun to catch smallies, once they are on the hook: give me a 2# smallie over a 4# largemouth any day!

On the other hand, I so love watching a largemouth explode through the pads on a frog and then disciplining myself to wait before setting the hook, that I would consider that to be the most fun type of bass fishing for me.

I can't pick. I have to go after both of them. Had smallie fever for a long time but been rediscovering my original love for the old bucketmouth for a while now! Every spring I try to fish flooded brush largemouth bass because it is really fun!

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Definitely lots of fun when your catching largemouth like those ones! Nice work Dan

Got Fish??

djkimmel

Just about EVERYONE has SMALLMOUTH FEVER! I do too, but I also like the fact that smallmouth fever has caused some of the largemouth bass to get lonely. I feel obligated to be their friend! ;D

The way I look at it is if I am catching either it is a good thing. That means I am out fishing.   Smallies on top water or a fluke is hard to beat.  But setting the hook on a jig fish is not bad either.

djkimmel

I'm with you there. I hope you get out fishing soon! I've haven't made a cast in a while now too. That has to be fixed soon. I'm going to have to look at my calendar and figure something out.
