Just joined the forum — been into bass fishing for a while and lately have gotten deep into baitcaster setups specifically (gear ratios, braking systems, tuning to stop backlash, that kind of thing). Looking forward to learning from everyone here and pic

Hey guys just wondering if anyone knows the water temps? And is the spawn in full swing yet up there? Thinking about taking a trip nxt WK. Thanks kb

djkimmel

The spawn was in full swing. Probably winding down. But with the late start the fish up there had this year you will probably find a fair number of bass wandering around the same areas yet with some spawners still. If you're already up there, make sure you let us know how you did.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

not to hijack your thread, but I am heading up there first part of August. I have never been up there and I do alot of bass fishing here in Tennessee. Does anyone know of any guides or just someone to go fish with that knows the lake a bit? I am staying with people that don't fish much and I am excited about the prospect of catching some smallies. We are between Topinabee and Cheboygan on Dodge Pointe. Please email me at nspreng87@gmail.com or reply here. Thanks.
