I'm disappointed to see now that House Natural Resources and Tourism Committee Chair Representative David Martin has added those very bad commercial fishing bills HB 5801 and 5802 to an upcoming committee hearing on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at noon.

The poorly written, damaging to Michigan Sport Fishing commercial fishing bills have been introduced again. State House Bills 5801 and 5802, introduced by Rep. Dave Prestin and Rep. Jason Morgan, have been assigned to the House Committee on Natural Resources and Tourism.

This is a tale of two lakes. Intertwined lakes, in Barry County, Michigan. Where somehow the water has gone away. Upper and Lower Crooked Lakes, both near and dear to me, are suffering from the lowest water levels I've seen in the 35+ years I've been fishing them.

probably fine to bring whatever you want, but as long as everyone on the list brings what they've committed to bringing, we should be fine.

I put I could put a couple bags of chips down in the where or where is the cookout thread. Guess it got overlooked. I can bring something if needed. serene everything is taking are of though.

i think its safe to say that extra chips, cookies/brownies, waters/pop/beer and probably even an extra pack or 2 of dogs and buns would go a good ways.  Doesn't have to be that organized, but we also don't need 5 bottles of ketchup or a metric ton of potato salad either.

Maybe... unless TheFishinPollock changes his mind and comes... I'm thinking he likes ketchup and potato salad! ;D

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Hmmmmmm Ketchup ................ reminds me of a tournament a couple years ago where I had to first chase down some plates ( was that on the list ???)  Then got a call to bring back ketchup, which I did, only in 50 individual packets, THEN I get a call to bring back Sliced cheese, which took me an additional two stores to find !!!!  LOLOLOLOLOL  ::)   Cy, is that why you offered to bring the cheese????  LMBO.  Oh the memories.

Those plates vanished into thin air!?!

I don't know! But that is a similar idea to what I was thinking!
