Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

gr@ssmonkey even offered to share one of his PB&J's. Dustin, hope everything turned out OK and you're not to sore today.

Esox lucius

The run to Mac from 144th in a 16' Tracker with a 40HP Mercury, with an east wind is 1.5 hours there and 2 on the way back (pleasure boaters made a lot of chop in Lake Mac and near the pier heads).  I used about 7-8 gallons of gas.  The most annoying part was the float switch in my oil reservoir is jacked up so I listened to BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP for the 3 hours of running/no wake.

Dustin had a nice bag as well, probably about 12 pounds with a big 3 kicker.

BassDaggett

Went to the doctor yesterday and no concerns, but did send me for X-Rays today to be certain.

VERY, VERY, VERY Sore!!!  The meds help a little though.

NOTE:  When they pulled the boat and motor out of the water at Grand Isle, I noticed the motor mounts snapped.  That certainly would explain the sudden loss of control.  Checked the skeg and prop and they looked exactly like they did before I left in the AM.  I've attached pics of the broken motor mount.

BassDaggett

Special thanks to Kevin for stopping immediately and of course for taking that treble hook out of my face!

Thanks to everyone who offered assistance.  Certainly something I won't ever forget.

Hoekset

Man, thank goodness that didn't end worse! Hope to see you out there again soon.

Dutchie1030

I'm happy to hear your all good Dustin!! Hope to see you back on the water soon!! Thanks again to the guys that helped and hung around waiting for the okay from Chris!!

Grinny

Now you have me curious, for those who weren't there what actually happened?

BassDaggett

In a nutshell, my motor became dislodged (ie. the engine mount broke) at 60 mph sending the boat out of control and me into the water.

I'm glad I always wear my lifejacket and killswitch.
