Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

I'm not trying to rush winter. I'm sure some semblance of winter is on the way. That means we are approaching the 2026 Ultimate Sport Show Tour - the three biggest fishing and outdoor sport shows in Michigan!

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Can anyone give me a detailed map of Wixom so I know what I'm up against for later this month? Thanks, I appreciate it.

MIBassKid

Yeah, I've thought about that site, but i don't want to have to pay more for the map of the lake than the actual entry fee. Seems kind of silly.

MIBassKid

Thanks anyways cameraguy, anyone else have any suggestions?

Dan

If you go on the MI DNR webpage they have maps of inland lakes county by county. What county is Wixom in?
"Not in the clamor of the crowded streets nor in the shouts and plaudits of the throng, but within oneself lies victory or defeat."

I guess it's silly if you think you'll never go there again and you're only getting it to fish Dan's tournament.  I would say that compared to the gas you'll spend getting there, the $10 for the almost indestructible map and fishing info isn't all that silly.

Online lake maps by County from the MDNR:
http://www.michigan.gov/dnr/0,1607,7-153-30301_31431_32340---,00.html

The Wixom Lake map (it's a PDF so you have to have Adobe Reader installed to view it):
http://www.dnr.state.mi.us/SPATIALDATALIBRARY/PDF_MAPS/INLAND_LAKE_MAPS/GLADWIN/WIXOM_LAKE.PDF

You should be able to get a paper copy of this map on 14 x 17 paper from MUCC: 800-777-6720

Couple bucks or so, but you won't get all the extra info nor the waterproofing you get from the Hot Spots maps. I don't know how much shipping is from MUCC either. I live in Lansing and just drive over when I want one.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
