Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Just before the October Natural Resources Committee meeting on Thursday, October 9, Commissioner John Walters added an amendment to Fisheries Order 206 – “Bass - Closed bass CIR season from May 1 – Friday before the third Saturday in June for Burt, Mullet, Crooked, Pickerel, and Black Lakes and their connecting waters.”

Some of the guys are on my Tear Drop Bass group. You're more than welcome to join that as well. I know I have joined several groups. You can only pick one roster of anglers, but you can join any number of groups. [REMOVED - see No Links Policy List] is a good one that gives away their own prizes as well. If you are a BASS Federation member the Michigan Bass Federation is giving away prizes for the Classic if you join their group, but you have to be a Federation member, not just a BASS member.

3 guys in the top 15 so far at Day 1.  But, the weather is changing as of tomorrow on the Red River and I never seem to get too far up the leaderboard by the final days end.   :(
