#1 Drop Shot Gamagatsu with 10 lb Flouro.  Tiny hook, biggest thing is DON'T set the hook.  Just raise your rod, pressure set.  Keep a light drag and you will never lose a fish.

2/0 worm hook Gamakatsu; like anything else, sometimes the best method is determined the conditions. One of my partners uses a red octopus hook and sometimes he out-fishes me with it, sometimes vice versa

Thanks for the replies, I started out using a smaller red octopus hook 1/0 I think, then ran out so I switched over to a 2/0 Gammy worm hook, I have experience similar hook-up results with both.  I am going to try the finesse wide gap next, I am also going to start using O-Rings, I loose too many senkos either on the cast, or during the fight.  Again thanks for all the replies, keep them coming if you have something that works well for you.
Thanks and Tight Lines,

If you're using mono be sure to use o rings and not split rings. If braid then either is ok.
Look past what they want you to see.

for the o-rings, use rubber as it streches for the 4"-6" senkos, for a little x-tra weight i'll use the  stl split rings in 2 sizes for whatever size senko your using, and then someone showed me using the smallest elec. zip ties also. those come in different colors and all and might even make a difference in catching fish. but i'll always use a o-ring when going 'wacky'. i get a x-tra fish or two before the senko gets to chewed up or lost.
if it feels good - SET THE HOOK!!

Instead of using the O rings, give shrink tubing a try!  You will be amazed at how many fish you can catch on one Senko that way.  Just get some tubing that is big enough to go around the Senko.  Use about a one inch strip, and slide it on the Senko.  Shrink it down just a bit, and then pierce you hook through it.  You can easily catch 10  or more fish on the Senko when rigged this way.
