I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

I dunno the differences either...but I do have an old hot foot (1994-ish) with no cables ...just the footpad that I'd sell really cheap.  Send me a PM and let me know if that's something you might be interested in.

I have the older original Hot Foot and have always like the control at speed and in rough water. I carry an extra spring too just in case the spring breaks. I like the simplicity and function of it. So far, been under the dash for many years without trouble. I haven't talked to very many people using other brands over the years.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I believe the two types of hot foot have to do with the brand of outboard.  Some use a throttle cable that pushes the throttle open, the others pull it open.  Mercs pull.  It has to do with how the pedal is made as far as the relation of the cable to the pedal.  Best bet, ask on BBC.

There are also 2 styles.  One is fixed, and the other one is adjustable.  Depends on how much room you have to mount it.  Get an adjustable if possible.
