Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

I have searched all over the internet looking for information on Grand Traverse Bay area.  Guess it is time to start our own information center here.

I moved to Traverse City last May and part of the reason is the great smallmouth fishing.  That said there are not gobs of information out there on when, where, and how.

My last trip out on East Bay was a week ago Sunday.  I caught a few smb up to 5# but the fishing was spotty and all I hooked were 25' deep and deeper.  It was hard even graphing any.  Not like it was last summer.  I hope to be getting out again before snow flies but I sheared my prop shaft that day and am still waiting for a replacement to arrive.  Just got an email that it shipped today with scheduled delivery next Monday.

Can't help much.  Have only fished it a couple times in late October.  But I will say the fish I got were in deep water (30 to 35 feet deep).  Not many bites, but they were BIG  :)

This year, the locals tell me the bass were moving in and out a lot for some / various reasons. If you search on here, you'll find enough information to help give some clues. It can be hard to get real specific because of the size of the Bays and the different styles and preferences of the anglers who fish it. I hope to have some video from there next season. Sometimes I go out with other anglers and I don't give up there hot spots unless they really want me to.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Dan is right, you are not gonna find many anglers giving out hotspots just some general info. Since you live up here now, you just gotta put your time in and you'll find em.
