Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

For some reason GLB Forums have ground to a halt.  It seems to be taking up to 20 seconds for a page to start loading once a link is clicked.  Something's up.  Anyone else experiencing this?

yeah, I've been  having problems too. Seems real slow at certain times of the day.

I've experienced this slowness as well.
I know that Dan is looking into why though.
So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

Shoot! I missed this thread somehow. I posted in general discussions - it looks like my host rebooted the SQL server that this forum is stored on. Things seem to be more normal now from what I can see. Let me know if that isn't the case.

That's one thing about SQL servers - they need regular maintenance to keep running quickly and smoothly. Hopefully, it will be smooth sailing for a while now.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

They rebooted the SQL server (database) Rev, a few days ago. Thursday I think and fixed whatever was wrong there. Hopefully, this doesn't happen too often, but if it happens again any time soon, I'll call my host and talk to them about it. It's annoying to everyone.
