Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Just before the October Natural Resources Committee meeting on Thursday, October 9, Commissioner John Walters added an amendment to Fisheries Order 206 – “Bass - Closed bass CIR season from May 1 – Friday before the third Saturday in June for Burt, Mullet, Crooked, Pickerel, and Black Lakes and their connecting waters.”

 I  got OBM's on kent this sunday. then probably headin' to half moon on monday to scope it out for the NBAA week nights.

Goin to Wabasis on Saturday for a tournament, then fishing a lake called Horseshoe lake for fun with family. Looks to be a nice weekend. Good luck to everyone and I can't wait for the good stories on Monday or Tuesday to come out. I promise I will have one or two what would be a fishing weekend with out a couple.

fishers of men on Bellville saturday. OBM on Kent if I cash a check from the saturday tournament on sunday and if not I will be practicing on saginaw bay for the next ABA event and then St. Clair on monday.

Fishing around town this weekend. Lake Ovid for sure. Probably the Grand (Upper - west of Lansing).

Have some chores to do around here before I head up to Burt and Mullett the following two weekends.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

 thought i'd report on last weekend's outings.

kent lk - OBM open
had a ruff day of it - only 3 fish 5.95lbs. think we stuck w/plan 'A' a little to long, but believed we were doing what others were up to and fishin' the holes in the weeds.

half-moon - monday pre-fish
was out for abt 4hrs. got alot of small fish, but no keepers. hope for better next tueday nbaa..

whitmore - tuesday nbaa div.57
what a great nite, caught a limit, culled 3. fell short of the $$. 10-12 boats. 11.2#'s for weight-14+ won it.

off to long lk & lobdelll this weekend.
