I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Found out (I either forgot or didn't hear it) that TBF of Michigan secretary Skip Johnson had a baby join the family practically during the November meeting so there's a delay in the minutes. Lots of things still up in the air for a few weeks anyway but here are some tournament-related notes from the meeting since I know there are questions this time of year about that.

Now lets be clear that none of this is completely set yet. Entry will probably be $100 per person. The event will still be 1 day, not 2 - that may be the only definite so far.

There are too possible locations in the running still for the 2011 state championship. First is Saginaw Bay out of Caseville. They have made an incredible offer to host the event. It would most likely be the first weekend in June if they are chosen.

Second is Houghton Lake. I believe Jeff has a meeting with them in the next week or so to discuss their offer. They are talking an event the first weekend in June also or a weekend in July.

The 2011 state championship will qualify the 2012 state team.

TBF is also going to have an open circuit in 2011. There will be 2 open tournaments and a championship. Not sure about the entry fee yet, but it is a team event and you don't have to be a member to fish.

There will be one event out of Muskegon Lake and one event on Lake St. Clair. The championship will be on Wixom Lake. They are working on sponsorship bonuses for incentive for teams that both are a TBF of Michigan member. This is not set, but possibly a $500 bonus if the winning team is members or $300 to the highest finishing team that are members. How much will depend on final sponsor deals.

Jeff says he does believe they have $1,000 Ranger Cup for the winners though. Final details also not set.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
