He probably wasn't but what McCarter fails to realize is that higher powers are involved here. When one promises Nemisis shirts to a whole bunch of people and then doesn't come through, something bad is bound to happen. It's all about the law of averages. He's young and someday the common sense will kick in. Sorry to be so tough on you McCarter, but you do deserve it.
