I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Tomorrow, August 7, at Hardy, is the Hooked Up Heros Event.  This is a Veteran Appreciation Event.  As of now, there about 40 Veterans attending, but they are desperately short on boats to take them fishing.  The event will be at the Newaygo State Park.  Park entrance will be free, as will will all other activities associated with the event.  Regsitration will begin at 11, and the fishing will be from 12-5.  If you or someone you know may be able to come and take some Veterans fishing, please contact Ron Monroe at 231-590-2376, or even me at 616-318-9814.

I had the name a little wrong, but what an amazing day.  I strongly encourage anyone to participate in an event like this if possible.  The story of the Hookin Up Heroes event and photos are now on my website.  The story is on the blog page and the photos are on the home page at www.bassinwitheric.com.

Are they going to repeat the event? One per year or multiple, or was this a one time deal?

Sorry I couldn't help. I just got my trailer parts today. Putting them on tomorrow, I think.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I'm not sure.  I just found about it a day or two before it happened.  There was talk about making it annual at the event.  Hopefully, next year word gets out a little sooner and we will have more than zero boats committed the day before it happens.
