I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Can't believe it!! This is my first day in... I can't tell you how long?? No spammer sign up attempts all day on the forum - talking about Wednesday July 14 that just ended!!! I've been under an onslaught of 3 to 8 bad registrations every day. Some of them re-register as soon as I report and delete their last one using programs that try to automatically sign up over and over.

There have been almost 300 of them recently. I have a utility that keeps most of them from every being able to complete registration and post any of their bad stuff thank goodness.

Just can't believe 24 hours without 1 single attempt!?! Probably won't last, but I can sure use the time it takes for other stuff! Just had to share...

I also installed an email trap recently that has been catching email harvesters and comment spammers - 6 so far including 1 who sent out almost 7,000 spam email to non-existent email addresses!! The service I use says I helped trap a previously unknown email spammer the other day using an Israeli IP address! Yeah!!! Too bad I don't have the download a bomb to their computer capability! Otherwise there would be some explosions in Malaysia, Philippines, Romania, Netherlands, Germany, Russia, Australia, Great Britain, China, Ivory Coast, Spain, United Arab Emirates, and a few places right here in the US and more I can't remember  ;D

I may have jumped to gun. The latest sign up might not be a spammer. Results were undetermined. Cross my fingers. Two days would probably be too much to ask for!?!

I like the puter bomb idea ::) ::)

Yeah... seems like if I was really smart I could figure it out!

Oh well, back to spam patrol ;D

Well... I did make it 24+ hours before a US IP tried to spam. Thought it was valid, but NOT... Only a couple though yesterday and 3 more so far today. Not too bad.

No ideas yet on how to make the Internet bomb or at least a zapper work! I like that - Internet Taser. Might be something there...
