I am a 16 year old who is very good for my age. I have my own boat and spend about 50 -100 days a year on the water by myself. I am looking to enter a couple bass clubs next year and would like to know of any clubs who will let me run my own boat or maybe make a possible exception for me. I live closest to Belleville Lake so somewhere close to that would be best. Thanks

I would suggest Avid Bass Anglers of Michigan, located in the Pinckney area.  Small club, fish local club tournaments, and hold 2 opens a year locally.  And yes, I am bias as I have been a member for the last 15 years.  Great bunch of guys who are more into learning/teaching ( format is set up that way ).  Dave McGlaughlin is our club president.  Send me a PM and I'll pass it along to him.  And it's great to see another young and upcomming angler with a passion to fish.

There is a tournament on Belleville Lake on Saturday that you could fish.  It's a club called Return On Investment Outdoors - I guess you could call it a club because it has a membership fee of $10 and a bunch of cool guys.  Mr. Brian McCarter runs it; his # is 248-379-4724 or just send him an email or message on this site.  If your fishing is as good as your spelling and punctuation at age 16 you will do just fine...................100 days a year on the water and you just got your driver's license - you're already living the dream!

I think I will just wait until next year so I can fish the club from begging to end. I'm pleased to hear that I can enter and you can definitely count me in for next year. Be careful Saturday I hear we got some storms coming in. Good luck.

belleville also has tuesday nite tournaments. no club affliations.
haven't fished them, but i hear a good group of people.

if you live in area, there's a couple clubs close by - livonia back lashers & michigan bass anglers. friend of mine is in livonia backlashers, does their website & believe is secretary. shoot me a PM and i'll forward your interest to him.  also there's a couple or so members on this site that belong. i believe the other club is out on ann arbor.

fish belleville often as i'm from canton and lake abt 20 mins. away..
if it feels good - SET THE HOOK!!
