Follow up for the DK open this Sat. May 15.
Lake St. Clair --
- there has been very little in the way of floating logs and debris on the Lake, so that is a good thing for motor life and safety.
- Tuesday 4/11 the wind was East at 30 to 50 mph with 4 - 6 foot waves. Water depth on East shoreline up about 12 inches. Heavy mud out to about 1 mile.
- Wednesday 4/12 East / SE winds didn't help the muddy water clean up, wind was not too bad and one boat was actually out at 11 mile until the wind kicked up.
- Thursday 4/13 -- nasty rain, heavy wind  and wave action and stirred up water.
- Friday forecast is West wind at 10 - 20
- Saturday is forecast to be warm and sunny, lake should be settled down somewhat after all the storms -- so fishing should be (dry and productive???)
- Tubes (Slither, Mayfly and Muskegon goby) are working, Jerk Baits in Bluegill shades are working.
- Fish are (or have been) from 12 feet into 4 feet, some beds are active and apparent, lots of Rockbass around, Musky and some Pike
- SM have been in both the muddy water and at the mud line edges (seems to be temp related)
- water temps have been all over the place, lows of 49/50 up to 60 and 62
- water depth is LOW , lower than last year at this time even with all the rain.
- hope this is of some help to those traveling here Sat.
Best Regards
Mike

Thanks Mike. Should be a big help. We all need to be careful about the low water conditions.

Firefighter Jeff

Thanks Mike, very much appreciated.
