Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Lions were just too dominant

Here's something to think about (but not too much ;D)  Lions won too many games last year, they were just too dominant, look what winning does:

The 13-12 victory snapped a five-game losing streak. It was the only positive result in interim coach Dick Jauron's five-game stint, and it kept the Lions from reaching 60 losses in the five years Matt Millen has been president.

But it helped the Lions finish 5-11 and the Saints 3-13.
Had New Orleans won, the Lions and Saints would have finished 4-12. They would have been part of a seven-way tie for the second-worst record in the league. And the Lions would have gotten the best pick of that group because they would have had the lowest strength of schedule
.

Oh well those high picks are hard to sign anyway...i just got a kick out of this when i read it.

The ninth pick overall is pretty good.  There should be plenty of WRs available for Millen to sign at that pick!  :D :D

4th, 9th, 30th, does it really matter? Lets look at some picks. Joey=Bust, Charles Rogers=Blunt, er Bust, Mile Williams= slow tight end, can't show up on time either, Roy williams= good at the tough catch, but If i have to watch him drop another wide open  slant pattern, I just may go insane. So again does it really matter?
