Original song and lyrics by "MadWags"

What's with the news these days on the TV and the radio. Can't find the truth amongst the lies. Some talking head that claims to live their life in a better way, says I have to compromise. But now there's something on the rise. Truth has opened up my eyes. There's no running from your dirty lies. You can't avoid the truth. I'll no longer close my eyes.

This response from Stabenow

Thank you . . .

. . . for contacting me about protecting public lands.  I share your concerns.

Michigan has magnificent public lands including three national forests and 19 million acres of priceless forest cover.  Our public lands, especially our forests, are vital to Michigan's economy.  These areas create jobs, generate tourism dollars and provide many recreational opportunities.

That is why I supported the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009 which was signed into law by President Obama on March 30, 2009. The bill will benefit Keweenaw National Historical Park, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, and the North Country National Scenic Trail. I am hopeful that this legislation will allow more visitors to learn about the vibrant history associated with these treasured areas and preserve them for generations to come.

Additionally, I am a cosponsor of America's Red Rock Wilderness Act (S.799) which was introduced by Senator Richard Durbin (D-Illinois). Currently, this bill is pending before the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, and I will continue to support this bill as it makes its way through the legislative process. You can count on my continued support for protecting public lands in Michigan and throughout the country.

Thank you again for contacting me. Please continue to keep me informed about issues of concern to you and your family.

Sincerely,

Debbie Stabenow

United States Senator
