Now that I have your attention...  ;D

Unless something surprises me greatly, I'll be copying over the new website here shortly - next few days. It may take a day or two for me to get it all working right. Lots of parts. This is the non-forum part of the website.

I have a new forum created too but that's a whole other project that will take as much time in itself. I need to do one at a time. I want the main website set before the first Ultimate show. (I'll be in Booth 3054 next door to Wayne Carpenter's Xtreme Bass Tackle at the upcoming Ultimate Fishing Show in Novi at Suburban Collection Showplace starting January 11.)

The main website will be WordPress, replacing most of the non-forum parts of the website. It will have a separate login from the forum for that part that will cover the commenting system and the new online store with my few products - too many issues with trying to tie the 2 systems together for security and working, and the forum makes for an ugly non-forum part of the website if I were to extend that. I want to use the forum software to do that because it does it well, and WordPress for the rest because it does all that well.

I'm actually still testing the store part still as it works more like a regular online store now, albeit without as many bells and whistles as a big box online store. You don't need to create a separate account if you don't want to comment on articles/posts or use the store (the new store requires a website account to use to prevent abuse of the payment system).

It will look a lot different and most of the articles and posts will have new URLs dues to the software change and wanting to streamline the rest of the website.

Well, I went and done did it... The forum is next. I have a bunch of work to do on the latest design I'm trying since it isn't exactly what I wanted, but I need to update the forum so I can move to some new software. The old software is outdated and no longer supported. That's never good.

The world is moving fast these days whether you're ready for it or not... Not sure if I'll get to the forum before show season starts (and maybe some ice fishing this year???).

I have an outstanding issue with the new website, and some tweaks I still have to make. Hope you like it, and are able to make it work for you? See you at the shows!

Well, now I've really gone and done it. New forum is done (mostly, I think...) now. Going to look somewhat different, but I hope it does not confuse too many of you as the operations are basically the same. Just look a little different. Give it a try, and expect I may be tweaking settings over the next week or two as I make sure all the setting changes are where I want them. Dan
