Just joined and wanted to say hello from GVSU.   I am a senior studying Finance and Economics and graduate next weekend.  I grew up fishing the Grand, Spring Lake, Muskegon, and White as well as Six Lakes near Edmore.   I like to flip and throw rats and hate it when I have a spinning rod in my hand.  I look forward to talking fishing with everyone as it seems you all have bass fever like I do.

I fished those lakes EVERY weekend from when I was 8 to 16.  My family camped at a campground on 4th lake.  I haven't been there in a few years but hardly anyone fished for bass at the time. If you get a chance, check it out around early august when the bright green slime is in bloom.
