Look who I ran into at the D & R Sports Spring Fishing Show

Big crowds hanging out to listen to all the pro anglers this past Friday and Saturday at D & R Sports Center over in Kalamazoo. The biggest draw appeared to be this fellow who for some reason is nice to me every time he sees me.



Guess I've done something right to get him to admit he knows me!! (Actually, now that I think about it, even Kim Stricker remembers my name now every time...? Only took a few years and constant reminders he named his son after me )

Mark Zona put on the World's Greatest Seminar to a huge crowd with all the entertainment of his wildly popular World's Greatest Fishing Show! I'll have a couple video excerpts up this weekend for your further entertainment. He had the crowd in the palm of his hands. And he didn't even sing. Not once. I don't think anyway. Though I guess he rocked the house the night before at the fishing concert!

I didn't hear it. I think he said Baby Cub once... but it could have been something else too since he started his bass fishing seminar with a deer hunting story and SPED off from there!!

I was out there on Saturday also...the deer story was pretty good!
Zona was great to meet. Very nice and down to earth...posed for a pic with my son He'd be a blast to fish with!

Not to one up you or anything Lt. Dan, but as you can see, the G-Man is flashing the sign for our new fishing gang. If you thought Zona was funny, you ought to have heard Gerald and Zona together. My sides hurt. It was literally nonstop laughter for over an hour. Honestly, these two guys could quit fishing and go on their own comedy tour. They're that good. Unbelievably funny!!!
Did Zona demonstrate the new knot he now uses instead of the palamar? He said that Gerald showed it to him?

I missed part of the knot demo due to other distractions. I think I saw about 1/2 his seminar. Maybe a little less. I did not see any of Swindle's.

I have pic of him, but he was 'incognito' wandering the store talking to customers. I think he broke my flash somehow...? It worked fine later though...?

Hey!?! I see Zona's hand... but where is Swindle's?!?
