Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Can anyone recommend a good one? After my last time out I must of hit a wave a little to hard because my left lower back hurt for a week. It really never bothered me until the next day. So I'm curious as to who wears one and what brand you recommend. A friend of mine wears a weight lifters belt when he fishes and swears by it. I looked at some online at Dicks and they range from $30.00-180.00 Thanks

I have a built-in one in my Guidewear I use for long runs and have worn it when I'm out in my rain gear all day.   It's detachable, but I rarely have.   It helps quite a bit.

I wrote a short article a while back about fishing and lower back pain.  It may not fit all of your circumstances, but I rarely have back pain from a day on the water.  Yukon Jack can vouch that I battled it big time a few years back. What can you tell me about the Egoscue Method in your article? I think I will also look into one of those braces.
I just added it up and I have been on the water fishing for 31 hours in the past 5 days, that is including one day off and my back is killing me. That may not be much for some people, but for me I over did it a little.

Every time I go on Clair, my back hurts the next day.

I've a bad back to begin with, but I'd like to fish it more, and be able to walk the next day or two.

I have several back braces, two from my Chiropractors, and one from the Pharmacy.  Never tried them on the water though.  I don't know if they'd make it better, or worse.

So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

I've also heard to take a couple advil/aspirin/ibuprofen (pick your pleasure) before going out helps.  Monday was the first time I've forgotten to take some in the morning and I woke up Tuesday hurting.  St Clair really wasnt all that rough by comparison either.

I see the original link in my article is broken now.  The Egoscue clinic used to have pictures of some of their back exercises, but I guess they want to sell their classes and books and decided to take them down...  :-\'  Here's another link with  three key exercises that really helped me.  They are detailed in the book "The Egoscue Method of Health Through Motion" and Pete Egoscue's book "Pain Free."
