Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

After 8 years of trying Scott Dobson and Kyle Greene finally broke the magical 30 pounds 5-bass smallmouth limit record for Lake St. Clair retaking the known team bass tournament record for the lake at the same time! Their impressive 30.31 pounds catch won them the Saturday, October 14, 2017 annual Monster Quest tournament.

Scott says they caught their bass on a combination of tubes, swimbaits and blade baits in relatively shallow water. They landed 38 bass that day with 15 of them over 5 pounds. The final limit included two 6 1/2 pounds, one close to 6 pounds and two weighing 5 3/4 pounds.

BassFan posted a nice write up of the accomplishment with more details.

As more proof that these are the good ole days of big smallmouth bass fishing another 'record' was set only two weeks later - the known Canadian record again from Simcoe Lake when Matt Belzil and Jason Clay won the Lake Simcoe Open with five smallmouth bass weighing a whopping 31.8 pounds!

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
