I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Has anyone tried the Trojan line of batteries, specifically the deep cycle batteries. I'm looking to upgrade, but I'm not sure what's on the market. I"ve seen commercials about them, but I thought I'd put it to you guys and gals. I saw one at Gander Mountain and the price was steep.

I use Deka Marine Master. Great batteries! From what I have seen over the past few seasons, the Deka and the Trojans are two of the best. I get a lot of great information from Deka - from the salesmen and from their web site - East Penn Manufacturing in Pennsylvania. I like having the information. I also like knowing who made the batteries and East Penn makes all their own batteries including wet cell (I use 3 31s), gel cell and AGM.

For Deka, I deal with Wonch Battery in Lansing:
WONCH BATTERY COMPANY

They have other offices around the state too. I think if you call the 800 number, they can give you a dealer near you if you are too far from Lansing.

Faster maybe - go to this Where to buy page and enter your zip code and distance for dealers near you. I believe there's one in Sterling Heights.
