Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

I would appreciate you remembering my brother Craig in your prayers.  He was operated on mid morning for five bypasses.  He was given a heart catherization this morning and rushed immediately to surgery with the Dr. saying he was a walking time bomb.  The weird thing is he was a marathon runner and a health nut.(always in top shape)  He is a Minister in South Bend,Ind.  I am here at the hospital typing this now.  He came through the operation great but the Dr. said the next 24 hours are critical.  Thank you, Steve Clapper

Request granted. Get well Craig

What's with the news these days on the TV and the radio. Can't find the truth amongst the lies. Some talking head that claims to live their life in a better way, says I have to compromise. But now there's something on the rise. Truth has opened up my eyes. There's no running from your dirty lies. You can't avoid the truth. I'll no longer close my eyes.

So sorry to hear that Steve. I will pray for the best possible outcome. I enjoyed corresponding with your brother a few months ago. He definitely 'sounds' like your brother even in email. I was very glad to have him sign up here. Hope everythings goes very well. Please let us know when you get a chance next how he is doing.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Thanks to all  for remembering Craig in your prayers!!!!  He woke up about 4 a. m. this morning and was very anxious to have the big tube which was down his throat removed.  I was allowed to go in to see him at 8:30 and he was alert but coudn't talk because of the tube.  He was able to answer me somewhat with sign language and let me know there was quite a bit of pain.  I met the Dr. who gave him the heart catherization yesterday morning and he told me that if Craig would have had a heart attack it would have killed him instantly.  The Lord definately has more work for him down here!!!  He had the tube removed from his throat just before noon and was able to drink a little broth.  Everything looks good so far.  I will report more tonight later.   God Bless, Steve

So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

Just to let you know your prayers are working!!!  Craig is now home and doing as well as can be expected.  He had a tough time with some congestion and had to stay in the hospital a day or two longer but is now getting around very slowly.  He said if he would have known that bypass surgery hurt this bad he would have never ate a donut or cookie in his life.   God Bless, Steve

Thanks for the update Steve. I hope he keeps improving quickly.
