I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

My highest accomplishment yet!
After almost four weeks of failed attempts at making my own tube minnows... ie BassTrixs knock offs.
I finally did it. From dipping to making my own two piece mold and then back to dipping.
I just have to get the rest of my painting supplies from Lure Craft and I can put the scale patterns on them.

Just to let you know, if you're going to start making your own stuff. You can't go wrong with Lure Craft / Poorboy's baits.
I've use two other plastics made from other manufactures and LC's is the most versatile.

It only took me a total of 8 hours of practice to learn how to dip these so they come out "near perfect". Now I hope the fish will bite the swim baits this year.

how did you make the mold??  sounds like something to do till spring.

i just got an order of Baby-E baits from california swim babes.  the have a steel insert for the line and come with a trebel hook.   they really look good.  wish the ice would melt.  may have to fill the bath tub and try them.

Josh,
Didn't KaRu have you sign a non-compete contract? ;D Those are awesome

Dan

Nice Josh,
If you market them like Bass Trix you can only sell one a week.

Waterfoul

Sweet.

I'll take 12 in a nice bluegill pattern and 12 more in shad color.  Thanks!!!

Yeah... that's how I feel about them too.
Thanks fella's, I now feel I passed the test.

I still have the mold I made... very cumbersom and does not line up all too well, but still makes a bait that is very throwable.
I initially started with the tube dipping process... it was very difficult to figure out... which is why I gave up on it and started on the mold. The mold was proving to be impossible without a CNC machine...
So back to the dipping process.
I figured if some of these yoyo's were doing it... I should be able to.
I sat in the basement Saturday for over 5 hours and fianally figured it out.

I ordered my paint supplies and should be painting pretty soon.
I'll post a new one, once I feel I got the painting down. I'm also gonna make a 5.0 - 5.5" one pretty soon.

I don't know if I'm going to get into selling. (I like fishing)
I may be willing to do some bartering.
I want a new carrot stix 7' -6" flippin
couple of revo's in 7.1:1
Racheal wants an elipticle (sp) machine....

I also got one of my tackle bags stolen on the trip back from Alabama and I have to replace all my hooks and weights. I lost 5 or 6 of the Zell Pop's, easily a dozen Lucky crafts... some spro frogs. too painful to think about.

These are a lot of fun once you figure them out.

Don't forget a good perch color...

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
