Why is it so hard to find a hds 8 unit at a decent price? Cheapest one I have found one was 600+ , for just the head unit. No gimble, knobs , nothing and a gen 1 at that.   Do some more searching. Found a gen 2 on amazon for 350.  Purchased it, hour later get an email back saying the purchase was canceled by the seller. This is starting to get stupid.

Ok. Just had to vent. This search is getting annoying. Back to my search!

The 8's are an easy size screen for me to read in a split screen while running. The 5 I have now at the helm is tough to read gps in a split screen because it is so small. I loose contour lines on the 5 because I have to zoom it out far enough to see where I'm going on the map. Anything bigger than an 8 just won't fit well on the side of my helm.  Plus I am limited on what I can spend with putting new carpet down this spring.

Keep looking. You'll find something if it is out there to find.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
